Henry was so well respected in the social service and business arena, that he single-handedly worked within the system to get the new South Shore High School built. He felt that the kids in the community he served deserved a world-class educational institution. Mr. English founded the Safe Passage Program, in which he flipped it off to the City of Chicago and now BUFI has the largest SP Program in the city, employing over 150 workers.
